We're looking for a full stack engineer who is keen to drive positive change and work with various teams to turn large, ambitious ideas into reality.
Contribute to a clear technical vision for improvements in performance, observability, and reliability on Yelp's core pages.
Dive into experimentation data to identify issues and address customer needs, iterating on code as necessary.
Mentor fellow engineers and share your knowledge to help grow the org's full-stack expertise and domain knowledge.
Ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders to execute on high impact technical projects.
Relevant experience in at least one server-side programming language, preferably Python.
Relevant experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Familiarity with popular server-side web frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.) or modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
Keen interest in tackling scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
Comfortable working in a Unix environment.
Full responsibility for projects from day one, a collaborative team, and a dynamic work environment.
