Job Description:OVERVIEW
• Development Methodology: Ensuring that appropriate methods and tools for the planning, delivery, automation, management and observability of systems are adopted and used effectively throughout the organization. Aligns direction and leads in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools, to ensuring consistency across all user groups.
• Systems Design: Assesses appropriate design standards, methods and tools in order to design complex systems. and ensures they are applied effectively. Reviews others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. They will evaluate impact analysis on major design options then assess and manage associated risks. Ensures that the system design balances functional, service quality and security.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivering on monitoring and alerting solutions for cloud platforms leveraging tools such as Solarwinds, Data Dog, Dynatrace, etc
• Partnering with cross functional Product teams to ensure delivery of services to support application modernization and adoption.
• Work with architecture and engineering teams to implement scalable systems, services and micros-services
• Design and deliver infrastructure-as-code (IAC) using Terraform
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to ensure systems meet the specifications of the Product teams.
• Standardize and automate cloud onboarding and cloud management activities across
• Assist in identifying and guiding public cloud migration opportunities across the organization
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience.
• 3+ years cloud management with focus on Azure and GCP
• 3+ years delivering on cloud platform automation solutions
• Experience with operation automation tools, e.g. Argo/Airflow/other
• Extensive knowledge with CI/CD methodology
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management in both formal and informal situations.
• GCP and Azure certification preferred
• Windows server and Linux server
• Working knowledge of Ansible and Terraform
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks, while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment.
• Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Minimal travel required (training/conferences)
