Job Description Essential Job Functions: • Lead a team of Storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship. • Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets the bigger team objectives. • Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other global IT teams to complete project work. • Engages with all levels of management and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage support and operational objectives. • Identify and incorporate future service management needs into a well-considered multi-year roadmap across the support areas. • Supports achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc. • Building the organizational capacity necessary to execute the strategy. • Skilled in generating custom reports/dashboards and Knowledgebase documentation. • Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage), operating systems, networking concepts, and backup solutions. • Perform installation, implementation of storage systems, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell, IBM and HPE. • Assist in the deployment and configuration of virtualization environments. • Manages and maintains an organization's data storage systems, includes ensuring data availability, integrity, and security through various tasks like configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting storage hardware and software. • Ensure all backup solutions are logging, alerting and notifications are enabled/configured along with monitoring the completion/failure of all backup schedules. • Working with other IT teams (network, database, application) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. • Manage and operate backup solutions including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting. • Collaborate with senior engineers to support and maintain data center infrastructure. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation. • Support day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance. • Understanding of networking fundamentals and data center operations. • Ensure backup solution Disaster Readiness, backups availability and backup operations functionality in Disaster recovery situations. • Work with the application stakeholders to define the backup policies, recovery objective, backup schedules and recovery time intended for each application & provide support to the applications different teams during projects and implementations. • Apply technology best practices, upgrades, apply vendor recommendations, & service and operation level agreements (SLA/OLA), in addition to abiding to target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). • Follow best practices and procedures to ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing environment. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience • Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role • Proven experience in infrastructure technology management • Proficiencies in technical knowledge and teamwork • A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology Other Qualifications: • An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus • Candidates must have strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, Data Domain (incl. CRS). • Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are a strong advantage. • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Certified Cloud Practitioner, are a plus
