Summary
A highly skilled Cloud Engineer is sought to join our innovative and ambitious environment at Oxford Knight. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and manage cloud infrastructure and applications using AWS services and AWS CDK.
This high-impact position requires a strong focus on scalability, security, and optimization. You will collaborate with development teams to translate business needs into efficient cloud-based solutions. Additionally, you will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Key Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years' experience in a similar position with a strong focus on AWS, DevOps, and Python programming.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), CloudWatch, Elastic Container Service, and Lambda.
• Experience automating tasks in Bash or Python.
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with IaC tools, e.g. AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK Stack, etc.).
