Quality Assurance Officer Job Summary: The key responsibility of the Quality Assurance Officer is to safeguard the quality of our products and foster a quality culture. The role requires you to actively engage in the development and implementation of inspection activities, detection and resolution of problems driving continuous improvements and optimisation that increases capacity whilst minimizing defects and reducing costs. Responsibilities: • Support in developing, drafting and executing quality assurance policies, procedures and testing protocols for implementation across all production and manufacturing lines • Support manufacturing and production activities at various stages of production by assessing and inspecting the quality of outputs and measuring them against the set standards • Ensure correct processes are implemented in line with the Quality Assurance protocols to prevent errors in manufacturing or production that lead to product defects • Investigate causes of defects that occur during the testing phase Report discovered defects and suggest improvements in processes to all relevant departments for correction and prevention of future defects • Provide tools and techniques to enable others achieve quality standards Schedule regular inspection meetings with appropriate departments to establish an action plan on reducing waste, minimizing number of defects and improving levels of quality • Specify quality requirements of materials with suppliers to ensure compliance with the quality standards, reduce cost and time of inspection and improve operations • Assist operations and production in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs • Investigate complaints and non-conformance issues; Carefully maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities; coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers Evaluate audit findings and develop, recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions. • Assure ongoing compliance with company quality assurance standards and industry regulatory requirements Administer accurate and appropriate recording and storage of QA records and associated documentation Collect and compile statistical quality data and analyze them to identify root cause, determine patterns and areas for improvement in the quality system • Identify company-wide training needs and organize training interventions to ensure quality compliance and meet quality standardsQualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline • Six Sigma Experience: • 3-5 Years Quality assurance experience • SAP experience in manufacturing is preferred.
