Job Description: Join our innovative team as a Senior RF Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing discrete transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) RF modules tailored for cutting-edge radar applications. We are looking for a dynamic candidate with a robust background in RF circuit design, system integration, and performance optimization, who is eager to take designs from concept to production. Key Responsibilities: • Design, simulate, and develop discrete RF Tx/Rx modules for radar systems. • Conduct comprehensive RF system-level analysis, including link budget calculations and trade-off studies. • Select and integrate critical components such as mixers, amplifiers, oscillators, and filters. • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout reviews, collaborating closely with layout engineers to ensure optimal high-frequency performance. • Conduct laboratory testing, tuning, and validation of RF modules against strict specifications. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering, for seamless product integration. • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve performance anomalies. • Maintain thorough documentation outlining design decisions, test results, and compliance requirements. Compensation Range: $99,100 - $128,800. This compensation range serves as a general guideline, with factors including role responsibilities, location, market conditions, and your experience impacting final offers. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. • 5-8 years of professional experience in RF design, particularly in radar or high-frequency applications (L, S, C, and X band). • Proficient in RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar. • Skilled in schematic capture and PCBA layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, PADS, Allegro). • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. • Strong understanding of RF/microwave circuit theory, including impedance matching, noise figure, and gain optimization. • Experience with PCB design for RF and microwave circuits. • Familiarity with military or aerospace standards for RF systems is advantageous. • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a security clearance. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of phased-array radar architectures. • Understanding of electronics packaging concepts. • Familiarity with thermal and mechanical considerations in high-frequency module packaging.
