C# Software Engineer – Trading Strategy & Tools | Equity Options | Chicago(onsite) | Up to $150,000 + Bonus
Albert Bow is working with a fast-growing trading firm specialising in equity options and equities, with expansion into futures on the horizon. They’re looking for a talented C# Software Engineer to help develop automated trading strategies and build out the internal tools that support live trading, data analysis, and platform commercialisation.
This is a hybrid technical role combining core strategy implementation with full-cycle tool development across trading operations.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain C# tools to support strategy development, risk, and post-trade analytics
• Build and optimise live trading strategies for equity options, equities, and futures
• Create intuitive and performant front-end or desktop applications for traders and quants
• Develop APIs and system interfaces to integrate new asset classes or exchange connectivity
• Analyse large trading datasets to guide model validation and tuning
• Collaborate with traders to refine tooling and deliver scalable, production-ready systems
• Document systems and workflows to support ongoing development and compliance
Requirements
• Strong C# experience across desktop, API, and tooling applications
• Experience working in both Windows and Linux development environments
• Understanding of real-time and multithreaded systems
• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, OOP, and core data structures
• Network programming skills (e.g. socket programming, distributed messaging)
• Must be authorized to work in the US — sponsorship not available
Nice to Have
• Exposure to equity options, market structure, or strategy development
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of API gateway systems (e.g. NGINX)
• Additional language exposure (C++, Python, etc.)
