We're assisting one of our global technology partners in the UAE to find a Technical Lead - SAP S/4HANA Maintenance to join their team.
This is not a project management role - the focus is on technical support, maintenance, upgrades, and ensuring system reliability.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in SAP S/4HANA, application management, and continuous improvement of existing SAP environments.
Candidates based outside the UAE are welcome to apply, provided they can join within one month or immediately.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daytoday support and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA applications across modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR.
• Manage incident resolution, change requests, performance optimization, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to ensure SAP systems align with operational needs.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and transport management in collaboration with Basis and ABAP teams.
• Troubleshoot integration issues between SAP and nonSAP applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis, document recurring issues, and implement permanent fixes.
• Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure system stability, uptime, and security compliance.
• Mentor junior support engineers and promote SAP best practices.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
• achelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of handson experience in SAP support or technical maintenance roles.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, including system configuration, transport management, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in one or more core SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR).
• Experience in Application Management Services (AMS), incident management, and servicelevelbased support environments.
• Familiarity with SAP Basis operations, ABAP debugging, and integration using APIs, BAPIs, and IDOCs.
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, and cloudhosted S/4HANA environments is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to lead small technical teams.
