Role: Tech Lead Proof of Concept (POC) Contract: 6 months (with possible extension) Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours Location: Toronto, ON Hybrid: Core on-site 5 days/month - every Tuesday, one Friday a month Compensation: $65-80/hour Interview Process: 2 rounds- 1st round: Virtual w/ Director, 30 mins and 2nd round: In-person (mandatory), panel w/ Director & team, 30-60 mins Day-to-Day: • Work with vendor (Protegrity) to deliver POCs for data protection products, 3-4. • Evaluate Protegrity Browser Plugin for protect/unprotect activities (AAD integration, enterprise distribution) • Evaluate Protegrity Anonymization SDK POC (k-anonymity, l-diversity, t-closeness model evaluation) - - To use SDK, they must’ve written program in either Python or Java). • Assist with Data Discovery Module POC for semi/unstructured data (PII detection, ADLS Gen2/SharePoint connectors) • Evaluate Protegrity Browser Plugin, SDKs, and Data Discovery modules for integration, anonymization, and PII detection. • Work closely with business partners, QA, and vendors to ensure successful evaluation and documentation of new solutions. • Write and execute code using Java or Python, and support automation/testing with Bash scripting. • Produce high-quality POC deliverables including configuration documentation and exit reports. • Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide recommendations for adoption or process improvements. Must-Haves: • Previous experience leading successful POCs for technology products. • Java integration and Bash scripting skills. • OpenShift/Kubernetes and Docker hands-on experience • Identity & Access Management knowledge (Managed Identities, Key Vault, RBAC). • Experience working with SDKs and APIs in a development environment. • Come from financial background - bank, insurance Nice-to-Haves: • SQL/database administration (SQL PaaS, Oracle, MS SQL). • Experience with Protegrity Protector products (JDBC, Oracle, AP) or willingness to learn quickly. • Data protection domain knowledge (tokenization, masking, anonymization). • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
