• *The Role**:
Product Manager, Pricing & Packaging
The Team
This role sits in the S&P Global, Commodity Insights, Pricing and Packaging team. This is a well-established team responsible for producing the pricing of new and existing products, maintaining and enhancing the pricing tools the sales teams use to access this, and providing insight and analysis to help pricing decisions and to keep track of pricing performance.
The team supports the global Commercial function and itself is global in nature, with team members based in North America, Europe, and Asia. We are a diverse team; what unites us is a passion for using insight and analytics to understand the value our customers derive from our product sets.
• *The Impact**:
This role will help our team continue to enhance methodologies that result in pricing in line with the value customers receive from our products and services. The role offers the chance to derive insight from multiple data sets to help drive revenue growth.
At the same time, the role will help ensure that the needs of our internal stakeholders are met through enhancing the design of our tools and processes.
Clients benefit from having products packaged in a manner that meets their needs.

• *Responsibilities**:
Pricing Analysis
Creating quantitative models and price simulations by using our transaction data (ACV), discounts and reference data such as industry classifications to help evolve our current pricing methodology
Conducting analysis and drawing insights from a variety of sources (sales data, market data, usage data, etc.), selecting appropriate techniques and presenting in a commercial way
Reporting
Collaborating with key stakeholders to define key financial and operational metrics to continuously monitor, track, and report performance of the pricing tools
Support
Maintaining and updating key tools for Sales for pricing and deal governance
Interacting with members of product development, sales, and customer care support, to provide and resolve any issues that may arise in Pricing (tier 2 support).
Stakeholder Management
Ensuring good communication with stakeholders through clear and succinct written communications and strong presentation skills
Building strong relationships with senior managers, including maintaining relationships between projects and using relationships to identify opportunities to improve pricing
• *What We’re Looking For**:
University Degree (or equivalent) required in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics. Economics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business. Master’s Degree desired
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to mine, model, and interpret multiple large data sets
• *Must have**: SQL and advanced Excel skills
• *Nice to have**: Python, or R, EDM, HTML, Azure, Alteryx
Demonstrable experience of utilising business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create reports and insight
Solid knowledge and understanding of financial forecasting techniques or statistical analysis
Must be able to work effectively as part of a global team, fostering collaboration in an often-remote environment
A self-starter with initiative, unafraid to seek out all information needed
Proven ability to plan and manage projects, delivering high quality results to planned timescales whilst keeping stakeholders updated
• *Nice to have**: Professional experience in value-based pricing, ideally in B2B and/or subscription products
