Job Description:
The IT Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure to support the organization’s IT operations. This role ensures scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cloud Architecture Design:
Design and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure tailored to organizational needs.
• Deployment & Migration:
Manage the deployment of applications/services and lead the migration of legacy systems to cloud platforms.
• Security Management:
Implement and uphold cloud security measures to protect systems and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Performance Monitoring:
Continuously monitor the performance of cloud infrastructure; identify and resolve performance or availability issues.
• Cost Management:
Monitor and manage cloud resource usage to ensure cost-efficiency, including optimization strategies and budget tracking.
• Automation & Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate cloud operations, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce manual overhead.
• Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders to support cloud initiatives and provide expert-level support.
Required Skills:
• 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure operations
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, deployment, and operations
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
• Experience or certification in VMware Tanzu
• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms
• Exposure to cloud security practices and tools
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management
