About this opportunity ;
Our client is seeking an experienced OpenText Consultant with a strong background in installing, configuring, and administering OpenText solutions, specifically OpenText Archive Center and Content Server, in integration with SAP S/4HANA systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data archival and information lifecycle management (ILM) using OpenText and SAP ILM frameworks, ensuring compliance, performance optimization, and efficient data governance across enterprise systems
Key Responsibilities:
OpenText Administration –
• Install, configure, upgrade, and administer OpenText components such as:
o OpenText Archive Center
o OpenText Content Server
o OpenText Directory Services
o OpenText Extended ECM for SAP
• Perform daily health checks, system monitoring, backup management, and issue resolution for OpenText infrastructure.
• Configure and manage integration connectors between OpenText and SAP systems.
SAP Data Archival & ILM Configuration –
• Design and implement data archiving strategies for SAP S/4HANA using OpenText ArchiveLink and ILM.
• Set up and manage SAP ILM policies, retention rules, and legal holds for SAP object data.
• Coordinate with functional teams to identify archivable objects and determine data retention requirements.
• Execute data archiving jobs, manage data access post-archival, and ensure transparent retrieval mechanisms.
• Monitor archived data access and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Project Involvement –
• Support new implementations, migrations, and upgrades involving SAP and OpenText components.
• Participate in architecture design, planning, and documentation of data archival and retention processes.
• Work closely with SAP BASIS, security, and functional teams to ensure smooth integration and compliance.
• Assist in performance tuning and optimizing storage usage through intelligent data lifecycle design.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in:
o Installing and configuring OpenText products (Content Server, Archive Center, Directory Services).
o SAP OpenText ArchiveLink integration.
o SAP ILM configuration and integration.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and data structures.
• Proficiency in configuring archive objects, ILM store setup, and managing retention policies.
• Experience in document and records management using OpenText.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration issues between SAP and OpenText platforms.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Windows), databases, and enterprise storage
Preferred Qualifications:
• OpenText certifications
• Experience with cloud-based deployments (e.g., OpenText Cloud, SAP RISE).
• Knowledge of GDPR and other darinta protection compliance requirements.
• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager and Job Monitog tools.
