As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM) team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
• *Job responsibilities**
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to breakdown solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
• *Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information systems / Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of software engineering and cloud development experience
- Experience in UI technologies such as React, Redux and Node
- Strong Java development in Java tech stack - Java17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, SQL and NoSQL
- Possess a good understanding of Microservices principles and container based development and deployment in Kubernetes
- Possess a good understanding and experience in CI/CD (Jenkins, Terraform), Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• *Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Experience in public cloud or private cloud are preferable
- Experience in Python
