The HR Workforce, Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist will: - Lead the design and creation of HR data analytics and reports to identify and anticipate workforce patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations - Partner closely with colleagues in the HR Department and People, Process & Performance Division Leadership to develop and deliver timely workforce reporting, analytics, and dashboard to enable HR as a key driver of the business - Develop data informed insights and analysis to support and enable strategic decision making by the People, Process & Performance Division and the organization as a whole - Determine the scope of the data capabilities of our existing workforce data and analytics systems and platforms and recommending enhancements that will benefit our employee engagement, workforce planning and succession planning programs - Establish and maintain an HR data reporting calendar in alignment with the HR, performance and employee lifecycles at the port authority - Partner with our HR Administration and Payroll Teams to leverage data in our enterprise resource planning (JDE), HRIS (UKG) and applicant tracking systems - Collect and compile HR metrics and data (e.g., headcount, turnover, equity, time-to-fill, tenure, and other workforce analytics) from a variety of sources and systems, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labour statistics, industry practices, and other sources - Provide consultative guidance to internal stakeholders and assist with identifying and scoping incoming HR analytics requests to working through analysis and proposing the appropriate solution - Identify instances of non-compliance in our use of workforce data with the goal of improving data literacy and increasing the use of HR analytics - Compile, analyze, and submit HR data to comply with government reporting (e.g., CIRB), labour statistics (e.g. Stats Canada), or any other legislative HR requirements - Is privileged to sensitive and confidential human resources and labour relations information and develop workforce planning analytics accordingly • *EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) in Data Science, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline with a minimum of four (4) years of related experience in workforce analytics and HR reporting. Strong knowledge of UKG, Microsoft Excel and Access, Power BI and similar systems is highly preferred. Must have exceptional technical literacy and desire to learn continuously. Must also have an excellent written and verbal communication skills. • *SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES** Strong ability to discern trends and patterns from large amounts of raw data. Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to take a thoughtful data driven approach to addressing workforce challenges. Must be able to deal with ambiguity and create process and structure where it does not currently exist. Must also demonstrate effective decision-making, strategic planning and initiative. The ability to develop effective relationships with HR business partners and colleagues is important.
