Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future. We are looking for a technically strong and adaptable AI Solution Architect to join our AI practice. You will design and guide the implementation of AI-powered solutions that enable our consulting teams to deliver transformative outcomes for clients in industries such as higher education, healthcare, and utilities. You will work closely with engineers, AI developers, and industry leaders to design systems that use machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation. The role requires both deep technical skill and the ability to tailor solutions to different business and technology environments. Key Responsibilities • Design and oversee AI architectures that power reusable assets, tools, and solutions used across the firm. • Collaborate with consulting and industry leaders to identify and architect AI-driven solutions for their specific use cases. • Translate complex business and domain needs into practical, scalable AI architectures and design patterns. • Lead technical design and delivery for AI initiatives, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and adaptable to diverse client environments. • Develop shared frameworks and reference designs that accelerate solution development across practices. • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate promising approaches into the firm's solution ecosystem. • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing by mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural best practices. Preferred Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML development, including 2+ years in solution design or architecture roles • Experience designing AI-powered solutions using machine learning, data pipelines, or generative AI APIs • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and working within production-oriented environments • Hands-on experience with Python, AI/ML frameworks, and API development • Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerized environments • Certifications in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services are highly desirable. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus Flexible living locations across US OR Canada, ability to travel as needed. The estimated base salary for this job is $145,000 - $170,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $166,750 - $212,500 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
