We are on the lookout for motivated Research Interns to become part of the Monetization Generative AI team, dedicated to pioneering advancements in generative AI. Our interns will work at the intersection of generative AI, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing, with opportunities to make significant contributions to algorithms and technologies that impact billions. Role Expectations: • Conduct impactful research that drives the science and technology of generative AI. • Engage in studies that enhance the understanding of data semantics across various modalities, including images, video, text, and audio. • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of researchers and partners, clearly communicating research goals and outcomes. • Develop data-driven models for both image and text generation. • Contribute to publications and research efforts that can directly influence Meta's product advancements. Minimum Qualifications: • Currently pursuing or nearing completion of a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. • Eligibility to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment during the duration of the internship. • Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or similar. • Experience in developing systems based on machine learning and deep learning methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: • Intent to return to your academic program following the internship. • Demonstrated success through grants, fellowships, patents, and publications in esteemed conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and ACL. • Hands-on experience with Generative AI techniques, including diffusion models and LLMs. • A strong foundation in computer vision, including contributions to open-source projects. • Publications or relevant experience in areas such as machine learning, AI, optimization, or data science. • Ability to solve analytical problems utilizing quantitative methods. • Experience in designing ML experiments and analyzing results. • Expertise in handling and analyzing complex, high-dimensional data from diverse sources. • Ability to leverage both theoretical and empirical research to tackle problems. • Experience in collaborative, cross-functional team environments. Compensation: Monthly salary ranges from $7,650 to $12,134, inclusive of benefits.
