The Staff Solutions Architect is Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader within the Growth team, focusing on the West region. In this crucial role, you'll work directly with prospects and customers, guiding them in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal's platform and showcasing the technical advantages of our cloud service. Your contribution is vital in positioning Temporal against alternative technologies, helping customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers. Your role is integral to our success. • Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal's platform well. • Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal's platform and cloud service. • Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns. • Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments. • Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans. • Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal's capabilities. The ideal candidate resides within Seattle, the San Francisco Bay Area, or Los Angeles. They possess exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing. They have a deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices. Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages is required.
