We are a long-established software development company seeking an additional back-end developer to join our small team. One of our long-term clients is growing their business at a rapid rate and they are looking for us to recruit additional developers because of the ever-increasing demand they have for our services.
Our client has the market-leading SaaS platform for this particular industry and has many well-known, household-name customers located all across the world using the software that we have developed and support for them. We provide their entire technical capabilities, from technical support, to software maintenance, enhancements and new developments.
The immediate need we have is for someone to support and develop the many interfaces we have to third-party systems including warehouse systems, ecommerce (Shopify and WooCommerce) and accounting (Xero and QuickBooks) platforms. You will need good database (ideally SQL Server) experience, happy working with complex SQL queries and be comfortable writing code in C#.NET. You'll be manipulating data in various formats (e.g. JSON, XML) and will need experience using external APIs to extract and supply data.
This is a remote/home-working, permanent role and you should be UK-based. We are very happy to discuss your hours being flexible and/or less than a full-working week and so this job would suit someone looking for a four-day week, or with childcare or other such commitments limiting you to working certain hours.
You should note that we are a small company (you'll be our seventh developer).

- Strong SQL (complex queries, ideally SQL Server) experience (minimum of 2+ years solid experience)
- Good C#.NET experience (2+ years)
- Experience working with external APIs

- Willing to pitch in as needed & learn quickly
- Able to work effectively and efficiently on your own
Salary is negotiable and will depend on your experience, skills and the hours you’d like to work. We have a certain amount of flexibility in how we structure the role and as such could accommodate someone who has experience ranging from several years up to senior level. The role would not be suited to a junior developer.
