The Commercial Analyst is a detail-oriented and analytical professional who will collaborate with project management, engineering, and external relations, while independently managing priorities with minimal supervision. Total rewards:$35.00 - $42.00 hourlySchedule - Monday to Friday, 1 day work from home, 40 hours per week Contract Duration: 1 Year Location: Toronto Travel Required: Minimal but could be 5%-10% within the Toronto areaA typical day:Perform financial and feasibility analyses, including cost-benefit and IRR calculationsDevelop and maintain financial models for scenario and project evaluationsSupport project budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring throughout the lifecycleConduct market research and analyze policy/regulatory impacts on projectsManage commercial contracts and ensure compliance with quality standardsAssist procurement processes and coordinate with vendors for RFPsPrepare reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholdersIdentify risks and contribute to mitigation strategies and process improvementsThe successful candidate brings:4–7 years of experience in an analyst-level roleStrong analytical and research skills with expertise in financial modelingAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; skilled in navigating databases and spreadsheetsAbility to create clear, impactful presentations and reports.Comfortable using AI tools and standard Office Suite applicationsUniversity degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fieldWorking knowledge of the energy or electricity industry (asset)Project management experience in the development phase (asset)This posting is for an active opening.
