About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to help new and established protocols better understand the complex systems they've built. This role requires exceptional analytical capabilities combined with strong client management skills. You will work directly with innovative DeFi protocols, developing expert-level knowledge of the mechanisms that underpin the entire industry while delivering measurable value through your research and insights. What You'll Do Perform novel research to enhance the safety and efficiency of premier DeFi protocols through mechanism design, sophisticated data analysis, and dynamic parameter optimization. Take full ownership of client engagements—from scoping work and managing relationships to delivering impactful research outcomes. Draft and publish compelling research for public consumption, enhancing the company's brand while addressing client requirements. Build and deploy intuitive, visually compelling dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders. Develop deep expertise across multiple DeFi protocols, becoming a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. Qualifications (Must-Have) 4+ years of professional experience in data science, quantitative analysis, or research roles. Extremely clear and effective communication skills with proven client management experience. Demonstrated track record of extracting deep insights from complex, multi-dimensional datasets. Proficiency with data querying languages (SQL), scripting languages (Python), and/or statistical software (R). Experience working with pricing models, financial products, and/or different asset classes. Ability to work independently toward abstract goals in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
