The Position Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer at its Santa Clara, CA location. Duties: Within global pharmaceutical company, apply knowledge of software test fundamentals, quality, and software design to ensure automation of software stack. Work closely with software developers to write software for automation tests, frameworks, and supporting infrastructure to streamline and drive high test coverage. Monitor, analyze, and report test automation results. Work within DevOps toolset and extend the automation testing as needed, including building dashboards and scripting. Develop test plans and test cases from requirements and design, and own the delivery of test plans for release covering functional, usability, security, compatibility, and performance quality aspects. Lead execution strategy and efforts that enable the delivery of products. Investigate, log, track, and triage bugs to determine root cause and establish prioritization. Develop and improve the team's automation framework's CI/CD release pipeline. Validate smoke, regression and functional test results to verify release readiness. Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and version control systems (GIT). Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the overall software development process, quality, and efficiency using the industry best practices in software testing and automation. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Education and experience required: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field and three (3) years of experience as software test engineer, quality assurance engineer or closely related occupation. Alternative education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field and five (5) years of post-bachelor's, progressive experience as software test engineer, quality assurance engineer or closely related occupation. Special Requirements: Must have experience with the following: 1. Designing, developing, and maintaining API automation frameworks using Java, RestAssured, Karate and UI automation frameworks; 2. Utilizing UNIX commands, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Jenkins, TestNG, Java, and SQA methodologies to build and maintain automation frameworks; 3. Automating test scripts using Python, Java, Selenium WebDriver, continuous integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, testing Microsoft .NET applications, SQL and relational databases; 4. Writing software testing requirements, test cases and test plans, and using bug-tracking software such as Jira, agile development and scrum methodology; 5. Working with iOS and Android mobile platforms; 6. Building objective and key results (OKRs), 3Ps (progress, plan, problem) and metric dashboards to track progress and monitor quality. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
