Data Science Lead
Our client is hiring a data science lead to drive governance and buyer experience improvements for their e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
• Build and lead a regional data science team, elevating analytics from reporting to strategic insight generation.
• Work with product, operations, and global data teams to align on priorities and share best practices.
• Improve data accessibility, implement decision frameworks, and drive data-informed strategies across the business.
• Apply advanced analytics, A/B testing, and machine learning to solve business problems; strong skills in SQL, Python/R.
• Bring a deep understanding of SEA’s e-commerce landscape; experience with cross-border teams is a plus.
Requirements:
• Master’s or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science).
• 5+ years managing data science or analytics teams with a strong record of business impact.
• Skilled in SQL, Hive, Python or R, with expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and A/B testing.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset and business-oriented approach.
• Familiarity with SEA e-commerce markets and experience working with global or cross-regional teams.
