The Asian Art Museum is seeking as needed Security Guards to join our team. Appointment Type: This recruitment is for a As Needed, Temporary Exempt (TEX) position. This position is at- will and exempt from the civil service rules pursuant to the San Francisco Charter Section 10.104. Nature of Work: Typical shifts include the following: • Friday to Monday, 9:30am to 5:15pm • Thursday, 11:30am to 8:15pm • Varying days, evening shifts Please note, hours will be based on operational need and there is no guarantee of work assignment/hours. Applicants will be assigned to as-needed shifts at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco located at 200 Larkin Street. San Francisco, CA, 94102. This position is typically assigned to a standing and walking post. POSITION DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, the Security Guard patrols public buildings and grounds to safeguard property against damage, hazardous situations or unauthorized entry and performs other related duties as required.
