Position: HPC Engineer (DevOps)

Artificial Intelligence Research Centre As part of TII’s Artificial Intelligence Research Center, the Extreme-Scale Language Model team is developing and implementing innovative deep learning technologies with a broad range of applications, from Natural Language Processing to Perception and Vision. Our team has developed the Falcon models and is now planning to continue our journey into cutting-edge applied research in the topic of large language models.
We're looking for a talented HPC / Dev Ops Engineer to join our growing team and help us push the boundaries of computational technology. As an engineer in our team, you'll design, implement, and manage scalable, high-performance clustered computing infrastructure to meet our complex computational needs.
Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain and optimize HPC infrastructure.
Collaborate with our software engineering team to integrate software applications with the underlying infrastructure.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HPC systems and software issues.
Perform system administration tasks including system configuration, system upgrades, and monitoring of HPC cluster health and performance.
Collaborate with our sales and customer support teams to provide technical expertise for customer inquiries and for pre-sales engineering support.
Research new technologies and methods for improving system performance and efficiency.
Requirements Proven experience with HPC, cluster management, cloud computing and GPU computing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Python.
Experience with Linux/Unix environment, including scripting, network, and system administration.
Experience with Git Ops and IaaC tools, such as ansible, terraform, helm.
Familiarity with modern Dev Ops and Cloud Native development practices.
Familiarity with containerization technologies and their runtime:
Docker, containerd, cgroups

Experience with orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Slurm.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with IaaS and Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL) or FPGA is a plus.
Familiarity with MPI, OpenMP, or other parallel processing frameworks is a plus..Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
