Lawrence Harvey is partnered with a stealth start-up in the fintech space. We are seeking a Software Engineer to help build and maintain the core foundation behind their high-performance systems. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and product, ensuring the compute, storage, and networking layers operate seamlessly to deliver a world-class user experience. What You’ll Be Doing • Create tools, scripts, and backend services that enhance performance, reliability, and scalability in real-time production environments. • Manage and optimize compute clusters, containers, and microservices across cloud and hybrid environments. • Design and implement automation for scaling, load management, and system resilience across application and database tiers. • Build and refine continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support fast, safe releases and rollbacks. • Continuously track system health and performance metrics, tuning CPU, memory, network, and I/O to maximize efficiency. What You’ll Bring • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing production infrastructure in cloud or on-premise environments. • Strong programming background with Python, Go, or a systems language such as Rust, or Zig for automation and tooling. • Expertise in managing compute environments (e.g., EC2, VMs) and/or container orchestration platforms like Docker or Kubernetes. • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD ecosystems, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. • Proficiency with data technologies including time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) and caching/key-value stores (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB).
