The Opportunity
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with hands-on automation experience to join a strategic insurance platform initiative. In this role, you will own the preparation and execution of test activities, documentation, and support throughout all testing cycles. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and contribute to automation development using Concordion.
What You’ll Do
• Own the preparation and execution of test activities, documentation, and support during all testing cycles.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test matrices, test plans, and test reports in alignment with established standards and procedures.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear, executable functional and automation test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and analyze defects; perform root-cause analysis and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and Scrum Masters to resolve issues.
• Ramp up quickly on new systems to perform test analysis, scripting, execution, and automation tasks with minimal onboarding time.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach by asking questions, seeking clarity, requesting work, and anticipating testing needs.
• Develop and maintain back-end automated tests using Concordion, including writing automation scripts, executing automated test suites, and contributing to framework enhancements.
• Note: This is not a full Test Automation Developer role, but hands-on automation development experience is required.
What You Bring to the Table
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst within a complex or large-scale environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in test automation development, ideally with Concordion or similar tools/frameworks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving IT environment.
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
• Strong sense of ownership, integrity, respect, customer focus, accountability, and results-driven mindset.
Core Skills Required
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with web and mobile testing.
• Knowledge of the insurance sector (asset).
• English required; French is an asset.
