Our client in the professional services sector is seeking a QA Lead with federal clearance to work on their government client. Role includes monitoring and managing a QA team executing on digital program for end client. Clearance Required: Federal Government Security Clearance (Reliability Status or higher) Location: Markham-based (with potential client site visits) Start Date: 6 months, extension option Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and automation engineers across functional and non-functional testing activities. • Oversee test planning, design, execution, and reporting for all phases of testing (System, Integration, UAT). • Define and enforce QA best practices, automation strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and architects to ensure test coverage and quality deliverables. • Coordinate and drive test automation efforts and integration into CI/CD pipelines. • Manage defect triage meetings, sprint planning, and QA status reporting. • Support test documentation including test plans, test cases, and exit reports. • Ensure security and compliance requirements are embedded into QA processes. • Act as the primary QA point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Requirements • 10+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience leading teams of 8–10+ QA professionals, including automation specialists. • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and Agile/Waterfall/Iterative SDLC models. • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, etc.). • Knowledge of performance and API testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Postman, REST Assured). • Experience integrating test automation in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Experience with federal or public sector clients preferred. • Must hold Federal Government Security Clearance (Reliability Status or higher).
