Green Key is recruiting for a Cloud App Architect for a financial services firm in Manhattan. You would work as part of the Enterprise IT Team, developing and managing the firm's cloud and application architecture, while working cross functionally with engineers, architects, platform/infrastructure engineers, key stakeholders, and end users. You would be responsible for designing and implementing cloud applications that enable a scalable, resilient cloud environment. This is a full-time, permanent role, with a hybrid work schedule in Manhattan, and a salary range of $180,000-225,000.
Responsibilities Include:
• Providing technical leadership and direction for application development projects in the cloud.
• Creating design patterns, reference architecture, and technical specifications for cloud applications.
• Evaluating cloud tools and technologies.
• Developing Cloud Best Practices for the firm and communicating these to stakeholders.
• Ensuring that best practices are met for reliability, security, and performance.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to developers and engineers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintaining detailed documentation for reference architectures, design patterns, and system configurations.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, and/or Software Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AWS tools/technologies and cloud-native application design principles.
• Experience working with microservices, serverless architectures, and containerization tools.
• Strong technical, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior development experience in Python is a plus.
• Ability to work with, and present to, end users, key stakeholders, and leadership teams.
• Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field.
