Software Engineer | Front End - React | London - Hybrid

They are looking for a Front-End React Engineer who’s passionate about clean design, performance, and scalability, someone who thrives on combining creativity with technical precision.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a dynamic development team, responsible for building the tools, platforms, and applications that empower investment professionals across the business.
The team is currently re-architecting its technology stack to become fully cloud-native (AWS), using React for front-end development and Python for backend services.
You’ll be working in a culture that values craftsmanship, test-driven development, clean code, and collaboration through pair programming and code reviews.
What You’ll Do
• Build dynamic front-end applications and UI components using React, TypeScript, and modern libraries.
• Collaborate with UX and product teams to refine user journeys and ensure intuitive design.
• Deliver scalable and testable code within a cloud-native architecture.
• Partner with portfolio managers, researchers, and analysts to translate complex needs into smart technical solutions.
📍London City, hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office.

What You’ll Bring
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Redux, Apollo Client, and GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Experience working in a cloud-native environment (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with data streaming (WebSockets, chunked responses) and front-end performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E) - Playwright experience a plus.
• Bonus points for knowledge of Material UI or other design systems, and data visualisation tools.
