L2 Linux Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide L2 support for Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu) across on-prem and cloud platforms.
● Manage and troubleshoot VMware virtualized environments.
● Support application infrastructure (LAMP stack) and containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
● Experience in Container Cluster environment configuration and its Management
● Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
● Execute and maintain automation scripts and playbooks
● Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning and patching.
● Assist in patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.
● Collaborate with engineering teams on reliability, performance tuning, and capacity management.
● Support GPU-enabled workloads and hardware management in research computing contexts.
● Support MySQL/PostgreSQL Database-related installation and configuration.
● Deep understanding of different types of clusters (VMware, Containers & database)
● Hands on experiences AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Cloud watch, IAM and VPC).
Candidate Profile:
● 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration (RHEL/Ubuntu).
● Solid understanding of Virtualization (VMware), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), container platforms, networking, storage, and backup concepts.
● Experience with DevOps tools and concepts, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, and Jenkins.
● Familiarity with LAMP stack components and application-level troubleshooting.
● Understanding of hardware infrastructure and Data center operations.
● Strong focus on security, documentation, and adherence to ITIL and DevOps processes.
● Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
