We're partnered with a long-term client to find an accomplished Full Stack Software Engineer for a key role on their agile development team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated expert in PHP (Symfony framework) and Vue.js, with a passion for creating high-quality, enterprise-level web applications. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using technologies such as PHP 7+, VueJS 2+, MySQL, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and support multiple applications.
• Write clear, well-structured, and tested code following object-oriented (OO) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) programming principles.
• Investigate and suggest improvements using emerging web technologies and industry best practices.
• Analyze and resolve performance and security issues, and proactively troubleshoot with system monitoring tools to ensure optimal uptime.
• Contribute to agile development activities, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and architecture meetings.
• Produce clear and well-articulated technical documentation and diagrams for application architecture.
• Ensure application compatibility across all major browsers and digital devices.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of professional web development experience, with a focus on web applications, API services, or high-profile websites.
• Extensive experience with PHP (Symfony), VueJS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Proven experience building and maintaining websites using WordPress, including theme customization and plugin integration.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and programming techniques.
• Experience with MySQL/MS-SQL and a solid understanding of relational and non-relational database design.
• Strong front-end development skills using tools like Bootstrap and SASS, with an emphasis on responsive and mobile-first design.
• Experience applying and adhering to WCAG standards for web accessibility.
Desired Skills (A Plus!)
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies (e.g., Swarm/Kubernetes).
• Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD processes, and automation.
• Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence.
