Job Title Safety Advisor Location Remote - Vancouver, BC Job Description About the Role As a member of the Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services team, the Safety Advisor – Generalist will lead health and safety support programs for manufacturing member clients. This includes establishing, building, and supporting the implementation of safety resources and training programs aligned with organizational safety strategies. The Advisor will provide safety coaching and mentorship, delivering consulting services, safety program guidance, and comprehensive worksite-based health and safety assessments. This role requires a seasoned health and safety professional who can help members access the full suite of safety resources, tools, and support services. What You’ll Be Doing • Service Delivery • Serve as the key contact for member clients regarding health and safety programs, resources, and training. • Deliver information briefings and educational sessions to demonstrate the value of health and safety strategies through employee engagement and leadership support. • Provide consulting services to support safety management programs, conduct member needs assessments, plan strategies and annual action plans, and assist with implementation. • OHS Advisor Team Contribution • Attend team meetings, actively participate in updates, planning, and contribute to workflow, communication, and deliverable strategies. • Provide informed feedback on service and program performance based on member interactions. • Complete ongoing professional and safety training as required to perform job duties effectively. • Program Development • Collaborate with internal teams to develop content, resources, and access points for health and safety service delivery. • Create best-practice programs for the manufacturing industry to ensure regulatory compliance and effective controls. • Support outreach and education strategies to inform members and industry contacts about health and safety services. • Relationships and Key Collaborations • Report to the OHS Services Manager. • Collaborate with Safety Advisors, Training and Resource Development Manager, and Marketing team. • Engage with members, industry contacts, and other health and safety professionals. • Location and Travel • Based in Greater Vancouver, with a hybrid of home-based/remote and office-based work. • Travel primarily within Greater Vancouver, and occasionally throughout BC for member site visits, conferences, and organizational events.
