React Frontend Engineer – Low Latency FX Platform - New York City (2 days per week onsite, downtown NY) - Contract 6 months (C2C No third party), starting October
Role Summary
An experienced React Engineer is required to contribute to the build of a low-latency FX trading platform. This role involves creating fast, responsive, and data-intensive UIs that power real-time trading and market information for front-office users. The ideal candidate will bring direct experience building electronic trading systems in FX or broader capital markets and will understand the challenges of working with low-latency architectures and high-frequency data streams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop high-performance React applications for front-office FX trading
• Implement and optimise low-latency UI components for real-time data visualisation and trading workflows
• Integrate with backend services supporting TCP/UDP communication and market data feeds
• Partner with traders, analysts, and technology teams to deliver intuitive, production-ready solutions
• Contribute to design discussions and help shape the future state of the platform
Skills & Experience
• Expert-level React, JavaScript, and TypeScript development skills
• Hands-on experience building UI for low-latency trading platforms (FX or other markets)
• Deep understanding of TCP/UDP communication and real-time data processing
• Strong background in capital markets, FX trading, or market data platforms
• Ability to deliver robust, clean, and scalable code in a high-pressure front-office environment
• Collaborative and proactive, comfortable working in globally distributed teams
