Adventure Krew leads and facilitates Archery Tag and/or Team Building activities at various sites. These team members are trained to lead both activities but will specialize in one. Who We're Looking For • Individuals who can confidently lead groups, communicate clearly, and keep activities fun, structured, and safe. • Applicants who can prioritize camper safety, follow protocols, inspect equipment, and maintain a high standard of care. • People who can travel between sites, manage their setup independently, and stay organized while working in varied camp environments. • Leaders who can coach campers through challenges, encourage teamwork, and model patience, positivity, and professionalism. • Individuals who show up prepared, take responsibility for equipment and activity flow, and support the larger camp program. • Must be 18 years of age Archery Tag is a dodgeball-like game using bows and cushioned arrows. The Adventure Krew member leading Archery Tag will be responsible for ensuring the safety of campers, transporting, setting up, and maintaining the equipment, and running the activity at each camp location. Team Building is a series of elements and activities facilitated by a specialist to build teamwork, communication, and perseverance, among other skills. Team-building specialists will travel to each site to lead activities using equipment located at each site. They are responsible for camper safety, facilitating the elements, and ensuring campers develop the team-building skills and goals set for them. Professionalism • Lead and actively participate in the transport, set-up, facilitation, and clean-up of specialized activities and equipment • Strive towards growth (asks questions, seeks solutions to problems, looks for feedback, is open to constructive criticism, etc). • Report to work on time prepared to begin duties at the designated start time, and demonstrate reliability by maintaining regular attendance and minimizing unplanned absences or tardiness Teamwork and Communication • Support the camp program by fulfilling duties as assigned • Manage a group of 10-20 campers • Collaborate with other Summer Camp staff to create the magic of camp Working with Kids • Has fun with campers, but knows how to not cross the line and lose authority • Understand that you are making a difference in the lives of kids ages 3-14 Disclaimer: • By submitting this application, you are applying for a seasonal Summer Day Camp position in the Houston, Texas area, running from May through August. • Similar positions are also available in Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth.
