- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field with over 15 years of relevant experience; OR an advanced degree in a similar field with a minimum of 12 years of applicable experience.
- A proven track record of architectural leadership within the SAP ERP and Cloud space, including assessing current architecture and designing an integrated future-state solution employing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP BTP, SAC, Joule, and AI/ML capabilities.
- A profound understanding of cross-functional business processes, including commercial, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, legal, procurement, and supply chain.
- In-depth knowledge of the current SAP architecture and future visions with RISE and Cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in IT delivery methodologies, tools, and governance, particularly with large ERP platforms.
- Strong organizational and change management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of motivating and driving ideas based on factual data.
- Expertise in supplier management with major entities like SAP, OpenText, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, and Alibaba.
- A strong executive presence and strategic mindset, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, divisions, and global teams, including various SAP pods such as Symphony, MedDev, Catalyst, and RMDX.
- Professional training and certification in frameworks such as SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework via LeanIX EAM, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect, and TOGAF.

👩💻👨💻 Your responsibilities are:
- Act as the enterprise architect to enable business strategies and growth through strategic technology partnerships.
- Establish the architectural vision, strategy, and IT roadmap for our organization, focusing on technological consistency, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with business and IT leaders to ensure alignment between IT solutions and business objectives, fostering a cohesive approach to strategic goals.
- Partner across BTS with teams focusing on Cyber, Digital, Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Privacy, Quality & Compliance, and Global Process Owners to architect best practices for process adoption.
- Define the architectural and deployment path for migrating ECC to S/4 for all active SAP ECC systems to SAP S/4 HANA.
- Provide functional solution architecture for key areas including Finance (RTR), Commercial (OTC), Procurement (STP/PTP), Supply Chain (SCM/QM/Mfg.), Global Trade & Compliance, and Analytics/BI.
- Share and communicate innovative ideas with executive leadership at the DVP level and above.
- Build and nurture a team focused on an Abbott first mentality, utilizing global talent to deliver successful architectural solutions.
- Inspire and direct architecture, solution delivery, and IT service teams to cultivate a service-driven culture that promotes productivity.
- Establish a community of architectural excellence within BTS, promoting architectural thinking as a foundational approach in our work.
