Our client, a top-tier hedge fund, is seeking a talented Python Software Engineer to join the Engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust trading applications that facilitate trading strategies in the commodities market.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain high-performance applications for commodity trading.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement real-time data processing and analytics solutions for market data and trading signals.
• Optimize application performance and reliability through code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development processes and tools.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our trading capabilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Python.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with financial markets, particularly in commodities trading, is a plus.
