About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-based data engineering, ETL pipelines, and data integration, with a focus on enabling advanced analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
• Build and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices across Azure environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources, integrating data from multiple systems.
• Support migration of on-premise data systems to Azure cloud.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 2+ years on Azure cloud.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks / Spark
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure SQL Database / Cosmos DB
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL design.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
