The Database Administrator is responsible for managing day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents and changes meeting customer’s requirements and Service Level Agreements.

Responsibilities **:
- Analysing, troubleshooting and production problems remotely or on-site.
- Responsible for documenting incident RCA report the configuration of the system and System performance tuning
- Responsible for security compliance, patching, health check, server hardening and hardening remediation
- Performing standard or project change request as per change window
- Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis
- Building/Maintaining database systems of high availability and quality depending on requirement and services rendered.
- Fulfilling databases request in accordance to services needs.
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in database support and maintenance, as well as Managing IT Infrastructure operations
- ITILv3 Foundation and DB related Technical Certification are added advantage
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity in SQL and Oracle
- Excellent knowledge of DB related product - MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase and Open Source Database
- Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
- Experience in windows scripting (Power Shell, vb Script and Shell Script) and DBA related automation (puppet, open source, etc.)
- Experience in Incident, SLA and Change Management
- Good team player and able to work independently
