Role(s) : Our client is looking for a Test Lead to assist them with the delivery of a number of projects within a major data transformation.
This is a long-term piece of work that has only kicked off recently - this client offers a flexible working environment as well as cutting edge work within the data space.
Responsibilities : Ability to create testing strategies based on requirement and project roadmapProvide estimates and assist in the preparation of sprint plans.
Manage test team, resource planning and forecastingProvide leadership and technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality AssuranceEnsuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automationReview existing test scenarios and ensure gaps are identified and updated.
Develop test data to support the execution of test scenarios.Execution of test scenarios; ensure the testing execution process is in alignment to the quality conditions.
Test management of SIT and UATPrepare and formalize testing process and procedures around JIRAProvide regular test status reports to the project team where requiredRaising defects and issues including logging, tracking, retesting, and updating of all defects / issues in a timely manner.
Conduct defect triages with the wider project team members / Business / Vendors etcPrepare Test Status Reports, with industry standard Quality Matrices.
Formulate a knowledge base for training and cross-skilling purposes.Provide end user support as required.Ensure the following components are addressed during planning and execution : Functional testing (business outcomes focused)ReconciliationData completenessData Accuracy checksError and Exception HandlingETL process checksData RetentionUnhappy / Negative scenario validation
Your experienceOverall 10+ years' experienceComprehensive understanding of Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence and Analytics systems.
5+ years of Database and ETL testingExprience building automation frameworks for data warehouses which can handle AI / ML modules3+ years' experience using PythonWorking knowledge of test automation frameworks and its implementationExperience carrying out Test Planning, stakeholder managementKnowledge of testing principles, methods, tools and technologies, including plans, scenarios, strategies and related proceduresExperience designing and developing Test Plans and Test Cases with minimal Requirements and Design documentsExperience in an Agile software development and testing environmentKnowledge of testing principles, methods, tools and technologies, including plans, scenarios, strategies and related proceduresISTQB certified Advance Technical Test Analyst or similar is preferredProven track record of a positive "Can Do" attitude is required.
