Story Behind the Need:
• Business group: Retail Core Banking – They own all the retail business lines within the bank. Anything for day-to-day customers, digital, and product customers.
• Project: Support Retail Core Banking products to enhance the bank’s overall product availability and improve customer experience and offers.
Candidate Value Proposition:
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Retail Core Banking to support the day-to-day delivery and coordination of a complex E2E journey starting from digital mobile systems to back-end product systems.
Typical Day in Role:
• We have a team of 30 people, the project manager will be managing the finances, delivery, expectations, and people of the program and business partners.
• Driving meetings
• Coordinating and engaging other technologies teams as needed as required by the core Agile Team.
• Help the core Agile team to remove blockers or impediments.
• Escalating issues to the HM or executives as needed.
• Managing spreadsheets about timelines, finances, and deliveries
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 10+ years of experience as a project/program manager in the Technology environment working closely with a business partner, operations partner, and/or senior executives.
• 5+ years of experience in modernization (strategic and delivery) and legacy/mainframe systems
• 3+ years of experience working on mainframe migration to cloud technology
• 3-5+ years of cloud experience with Azure (Strategic and delivery)
• 5+ years of experience in successful project delivery with a program budget of 3-5 Million
• 5+ years of experience leading a large technology team of 20-30 people.
• 2 years of experience managing PEGA applications
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• 3-5 years of cloud experience with Google Cloud (GCP)
• Experience in managing applications/systems deployments and WebSphere
• Previous experience at client
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
• Organized, self-motivated, and can interact well with other stakeholders
• Self-project management and analytical skills – can analyze data to support actions to move to a paperless environment
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area.
• Certification in Project management is an asset
Best Candidate VS Average:
• The best candidate will have all the must-have skills and will have previous experience at client. In addition, If the candidate doesn’t have the articulation to communicate and explain properly then the manager will not consider them.
Candidate Review & Selection:
• 1 round with HM and Delivery Lead or Director/Coach – 1 hour video interview.
• Behavioral questions, background info on what they have delivered. The key is for them to articulate what big programs and deliveries they’ve done.
