DFP Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Data Modeller to support one of our Federal Government clients in centralizing data location from multiple sources into a unified database. The successful candidate will join a project team focused on integrating health, compensation, and workforce data into an Enterprise Data Warehouse. This initiative aims to facilitate standard business reporting, advanced analytics, simulation modeling, and predictive analysis in these subject areas.
Responsibilities for this role include data modeling, integration, and optimization to ensure efficient data flow and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data modeling methodologies, proficiency with relevant tools and technologies, and experience working within government or large-scale organisational settings.

Primary Skillsets:
• Capture and model data requirements, data definitions, metadata, business rules, data quality requirements, and logical and physical data models.
• Understand data modelling schemes and techniques.
• Understand data modelling requirements in a data warehouse context, including relational and dimensional modelling practices.
• Develop data modelling standards that provide guiding principles to meet business requirements and ensure the quality of data.
• Use data modelling tools to build various types of data models (conceptual, logical and physical). Preference given to users who have practical experience in Erwin.
• Undertakes data modelling activities to ensure that business users understand data content.
• Ensures that data can be presented in the most usable form and is fit-for-purpose.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate experience in multiple roles that include Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Technical Writing, and Data Engineering
You must have active Baseline Security clearance to be considered for this position.
