My government client is looking for a ServiceNow Developer, someone to write clean, secure code following a test-driven approach, ensuring the code is open as far as possible and can be re-used.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
Your main day to day responsibilities will be:
• delivering secure, reliable and scalable software in your team; undertaking a breadth of development tasks
• designing new software using appropriate tools and in line with standards, proving designs through prototyping
• reporting on system performance and supporting test activities; keeping documentation up to date
• supporting services you have delivered through regular maintenance activities, balancing your work with your leadership
• working with other engineers to deliver new capability, for instance improved CI/CD pipelines or test approaches
Essential Skills
• Experience working with theServiceNow platform, including:
• A ServiceNow System Administration Certification
• Evidence backed experience in designing ServiceNow applications and web-based solutions
• In-Depth cross-tool understanding of ServiceNow, such as workflow, user interface (UI), client scripts, and business rules.
• Experience working with a rapid development methodology, in particular Agile/Scrum or DevOps software development.
• Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control release management and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript Web 2.0 Technologies, Web Services and Web communications protocols (knowledge of Angular and Bootstrap desired)
• Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to confidently present to external stakeholders.
