Senior Software Engineer 🚀
Location: London, UK (hybrid, 3 days on-site required)
Salary: Up to £90,000PA
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our client, a dynamic team at a Series B scale-up in the wellness sector, based in London.
As a Python expert with over 5 years of commercial experience, you will play a crucial role in overcoming engineering challenges and driving the development of their platform. While a strong foundation in Python is essential, candidates with exposure to frontend technologies such as React or a willingness to learn are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Requirements:
• STEM Degree or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of commercial experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency in Python, with experience or a keen interest in frontend technologies like React
• Familiarity with relational databases, preferably MySQL, and ORM frameworks such as SQL
• Understanding of modern frontend development tools and languages including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Responsibilities:
• Promote best practices to guarantee the delivery of reliable, well-tested software that constantly satisfies our high requirements.
• Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of the architecture of our systems to enable scalability and maintainability.
• Work directly with stakeholders in product, design, and business to pinpoint issues, validate theories, and add new features that improve user experience.
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of our platform by working on the backend, frontend, and infrastructure aspects of the full technology stack.
