Intermediate IT Support Specialist Job Summary: Our client is seeking an Intermediate IT Support Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Canada. The successful candidate will provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. This is a hybrid work environment with an option to work from home 2 days per week. · Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, video call and in-person. · Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. · Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including operating systems, office applications, and third-party SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, afi.ai, Slack, Zoom, and CrowdStrike. · Collaborate with other IT team members to maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, backups, and virus scans. · Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments. · Maintain documentation of IT processes, procedures, and end-user instructions. · Provide training to end-users on IT systems and processes · Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions. · Assist in executing compliance-related tasks (building monitoring dashboards, disaster recovery tests, backup etc.) with information security guidelines. (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.) · 2-3 years of experience in an IT support role. · Experience with ticketing systems, preferably Asana. · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications · Familiarity with Active Directory and other common IT systems · Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Experience with supporting SaaS applications, such as Google · Workspace, afi.ai, Slack, Zoom, and CrowdStrike · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently and in a team environment. · Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service · Excellent documentation skills · Staying up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices in the IT field. · Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, AWS Certified Solutions · Architect, or other related certifications are preferred.
