The College of Computer Information Technology is seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant to support our Computer Science Department, with a strong foundation in Python programming, databases, and machine learning. This position is designed for individuals eager to apply their technical skills and knowledge in a dynamic academic setting, assisting faculty members and enhancing students' learning experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer science principles, hands-on programming experience, and a passion for teaching and technology. Salary Range & Benefits: AED 5,000 to 6,000 & Additional Benefits Qualifications & Education Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with major databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Experience At least 3 years of practical experience Skills / Training / Knowledge Understanding of basic and advanced concepts in machine learning and the ability to apply these concepts in practical settings. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to students. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced academic environment. Job Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and delivery of lab sessions related to Python programming, database management, and machine learning. Support students in developing and debugging their code, offering guidance on best practices in software development. Help maintain and update lab resources, including software installations and database configurations. Collaborate with faculty members to develop engaging lab assignments and projects that complement theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Participate in grading assignments and providing constructive feedback to students. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Python programming, databases, and machine learning to incorporate innovative practices into the lab. Assist in organizing workshops and seminars to enhance students' technical skills and knowledge. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the educational goals of the department.
