Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated Android Developer Intern to join our dynamic team for a 3-month unpaid remote internship. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in mobile app development, particularly in the fintech sector. As an Android Developer Intern, you will work closely with our development team to contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our Android application.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for the Budgetwise.ai Android application.
• Utilize Kotlin programming language and Firebase/Firestore database technologies to build robust and scalable mobile solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of the application.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Conduct thorough testing of the application to identify and address any bugs or issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Android app development and fintech industry.
Requirements:
• Prior experience building Android applications using Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Firebase/Firestore or willingness to learn.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
• Must have built at least one Android app before (personal projects, academic projects, or professional experience).
