Join our team at Habitat Learn Inc. as a UI/UX Designer! As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces and experiences for our educational products.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and content creators, to design and enhance the user experience of our web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for web and mobile applications
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure a cohesive and seamless user experience
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design
Requirements
For the upcoming UI/UX Designer role, these are the key skills and qualifications to consider:
• A degree in a related field (eg. Graphic Design, User Experience Design) or significant relevant experience in UX/UI design.
• Have at least three years of professional experience in the design industry at an intermediate level position in a public or private organization.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Zeplin, etc.
• Portfolio showcasing user-centric and visual design skills.
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration
• Good Organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends and methods.
• Understanding of front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Have some knowledge and/or experience in Inclusive Design practices.
The job is remote, however, we expect you to be located in the Greater Toronto Area or have the ability to commute once a week.
