Role Description: We are seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our vast customer base. This role is pivotal in our innovative AI platform, requiring collaboration with retail, marketing, and technology teams. As an online retailer with unique datasets, including millions of customer transactions and product data, you will tackle challenging problems and leverage cutting-edge technology to drive business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop and enhance internal and external data products.
• Implement and scale algorithms to achieve measurable impact across various business areas.
• Conduct large-scale experiments to validate hypotheses and drive product development.
• Stay updated with state-of-the-art research, participate in reading groups, and contribute to publishing innovative prototypes.

• Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or similar quantitative fields; Ph.D. preferred.
• Proficiency in applying machine learning methods to complex data (e.g., images, text, video, time series).
• Understanding of retail, marketing, and/or ecommerce industries.
• Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Keras, PySpark, PyTorch); familiarity with Scala is advantageous.
• Experience in data manipulation, SQL, and building data pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and engineering practices, including ML Ops.
• Solid grasp of statistics (hypothesis testing, regressions, inference).
• Collaborative mindset, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
• Comfortable with open-source technologies.
