Data Engineer - 12 month FTC - Hybrid
We are delighted to partner with a leading organisation based in London, supporting them with the recruitment of a Data Engineer on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. We are looking for someone who is willing to get hands on with the company data and to develop innovative and structured solutions to bring it together in a way that maximises potential.
Role responsibilities:
• Develop an expert knowledge of the company's IT landscape, data and data systems
• Incorporate core data management competencies including data governance, data security and data quality.
• Partner and collaborate with team and business users to support delivery and educate end users on data products/analytic environment.
• Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity and correct as appropriate.
Skills required:
• Proven SQL experience
• In depth knowledge of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• Any experience of Power BI is highly desirable
• A good understanding of C# / .Net is required
• Excel/VBA knowledge is desirable - ability to create reports
• Experience of working within an agile methodology is desired
• Strong communication skills - able to work with non technical team members and be able to articulate concepts to them
