Cloud Engineers at HUB are a cross-functional team delivering a unique co-creation experience to accelerate transformation. As part of the cloud engineering team, you will use contemporary technologies and approaches to design, develop, test, and deliver solutions. You will apply a user-centric approach to ensure all features add value for the user and achieve the desired client impact at the minimal or optimal resource consumption. You understand the nuances of Hybrid cloud including but not limited to GCP, AWS & Azure Cloud and implications for solution design. You understand the relationship among various technologies and architectures and how they contribute to the overall solution. You will develop a deep understanding of complex, large scale multi-region solutions which utilize multiple independent life cycle microservices. An ideal candidate will be familiar with Design Thinking, Behavior and Test-Driven Development, and application of Agile methodologies when delivering solutions.
Responsibilities:
Principle Responsibilities
• Contributes to and supports the corporate Enterprise Cloud strategy, standards and best practices associated with all aspects Cloud offerings in GCP, Amazon AWS & Azure
• Contributes to and support the corporate adoption of the DevOps methodology and IaaC
• Provides expert level design and engineering support towards the successful delivery of IT’s cloud project portfolio
• Contribute towards continual service improvement activities related to the delivery of cloud services
• Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the cloud
• Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity architecture
• Create and implement automation in the form of infrastructure as code for cloud platform solutions
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
• Oversees, or consults on, technology implementation and modification activities particularly for new or projects being implemented within their area of expertise
• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in Hybrid Cloud environment – GCP, AWS & Azure Cloud
• 5+ years’ experience in IT platform, storage, networking, and virtualization engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in the design & implementation of distributed applications (preferred)
• Practical experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings
• Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions with robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recover requirements and Cloud Security first configuration
• 5+ years’ experience in building CI/CD pipeline automation in tools like Jenkins/Cloudbees with scripting languages such as Ruby, or Python, Powershell
• 5+ years practical experience designing, building, and automating solutions utilizing GCP, AWS and Azure services
• 5+ years’ experience working with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
• 5+ years’ experience with Windows OS experience is a must
• 5+ years practical experience working in DevOps team/organizations with applied Agile development practices
• 5+ years’ experience GCP, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Arm Templates, Blueprints, policies and networking is a must
• 5+ years’ experience with Azure VM’s, Data Analytic Services, SQL Databases, Automation
• 5+ years’ experience Microservices, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Dockers/Container experience
• 2+ years’ experience Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, SolarWinds
• 5+ years hands on experience with automated tooling such as Chef and Test Kitchen
• Hands on experience with Docker and container orchestration
Required-Must have Skills:
• Infrastructure creation in GCP, AWS & Azure
• IaaC - Cloud Formation, Azure Arm/Biceps/Blueprints, Terraform
• DevOps tools & process – Ansible, Packer, Chef, Docker/Container, Kubernetes
• Azure Networking / AWS Networking
• Scripting/Automation – Python, Powershell, Javascript, PHP, Go, Java, C#,
• Proficient on Operating Systems – Windows & Linux
• Proficient understanding of Active Directory and service integration
• Solid documentation skills – Architecture Diagrams, Run books, Analysis
